Video Editor

Job Summary:
The Video Editor is a highly creative and technical role whose skills are pivotal in creating long form content & transforming long-term content into enthralling short-form videos for platforms like Tiktok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube shorts.

The work of the incumbent will embody the energetic and dynamic style ensuring content captivates and resonates with viewers.  
Key Responsibilities:
Reports to the Marketing Manager/Operations Manager regarding the productivity under the Operations Department, the challenges encountered with their respective action plan, and strategies to be developed or implemented;

Specific Responsibilities:
a. Translate raw footage into a polished final product that aligns with the director’s vision and audience expectations;
b. Efficiently condense and adapt long-form content into high-impact, brief formats for various social media platforms;
c. Implement strategic and effective use of jump cuts, captions, and stock footage to enhance video engagement and clarity;
d. Actively contribute to creative brainstorming sessions with the content team, influencing the stylistic and creative direction of video content;
e. Stay updated on the latest editing tools, technologies, and trends within the social media landscape;
f. Employ database tools like Airtable or Notion for proficient content planning and organization; 
g. Other related duties.  
Education: At least a Diploma in any discipline;
Skills and Work Experiences: 
a. Previous experience as a Video Editor, with a compelling portfolio showcasing your work.
b. Proficiency in using advanced editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro.
c. A proven track record of working with YouTube channels or video-centric social accounts like TikTok and Instagram.
d. Adept in utilizing database tools like Airtable or Notion for organized and efficient content planning.
e. A keen sense of storytelling, detail orientation, and creativity.
f. Ability to thrive in a high-paced environment and consistently meet deadlines.
g. Exceptional communication skills, coupled with a team-focused and collaborative approach.
h. Resilience, adaptability, and self-driven motivation
